new addition & more

hello everyone

It has been a while since I've been on here and updated it. not that a whole lot of people are checking in daily or anything. We have added a new baby girl to our little family though. Emmalne Kristine McCain was born Augusut 31 at 7:48am and weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 20.5in long. She is now almost a month old and is aready getting bigger. Emma is finding out that she likes to eat, sleep, and poop, usually in that order. I am reminded of the fact that babies are awake when mommy wants to sleep. No wonder I have 6 weeks off of school, so we can adjust to a new schedule. Emma is starting to focus more and discover new things. She mostly likes to look at the celing fans and light. She likes to sit in her swing and lay on the floor. She also likes to look at her big sister and lay on Abby's bed. Abby likes to help dress her and do the buttons on her outfits. She is also a big helper for mommy by getting things that I can't get right away, like diapers and wipes, or a pillow for my arm, or the remote control. What a big helper :)

We are enjoying our new house and trying to make a few improvments and make it look more like we are all moved in. We are getting there.












Abbygale started preschool at the beginning of September and has been enjoying it. She is wowing her teachers. They can't believe how well she can color and write her letters. She is so smart, I guess there is hope for her yet :). She is gearing up to go into primary at the start of the next year and she already knows several songs. "I am a Child of God" is her favorite. She also likes "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" and "I love to see the Temple". Going to the temple to see Jesus is her favorite thing and she is always bugging us to go and see Jesus at the temple. She feels bad because he has owies (spelling???) on his hands and she thinks he needs a present to make him feel better. She thinks he will enjoy a princess present. Abby is all about the princesses. She loves Cinderella and is going to dress up like her for Halloween. She is so excited!




Gramma K came to visit when Emma was born. Abby and Gramma had a great time together. Abby got to sing songs with gramma every night before bed, and gramma took her to preschool on her first day (since mommy was in the hospital with Emma). Gramma also brought Abby two new outfits. They are so cute and Abby looks so grown up in them.



Last weekend (Sept. 21) we all went to the KidsFair (Aunt Melanie went too). It was a fun family event that had a lot of vendors and fun activities for the kids to do. Abby got fairy dust that sparkes on your skin and she got to have her picture with a princess and a CareBear. She also went to a petting zoo and fed little goats and sheep. We saw so many things its hard to name them all. Unfortunately we forgot the camera so all we have is the pictures we took on our cell phones and our memories. Abby bugged me all week before the KidsFair and she couldn't understand why we couldn't just go anytime we wanted. :)

Yesterday (Sept. 27) we went to Bass Pro Shop to their Emergency Preparedness day and Abby got to see a lot of fish and stuffed animals. She also got to sit in a fire truck and a helicopter. She even got a fireman hat. She had a lot of fun with mommy, Emma, and Grandma McCain. Abby wants me to include that she got a Burger King crown on Friday

We are trying to stay busy so we don't go crazy staying at home all day. Pictures and more updates will come soon. :) Enjoy
