Easter Weekend

We had so much fun Easter weekend. Conference, family dinner, and egg hunting. Made for a busy weekend. Here are some pictures of the fun activities.

Abby wanted to take a picture of Emma and I. She did pretty good. We even said CHEESE!

Emma's Easter outfit that Abby wore when she was this age. It's nice when it's only worn a few times each child.
Abby wanted to play dress up in one of my new dresses. She thought it was very cool.

Abby's new picture pose. Don't know where she learned it, but it's cute :)

Abby is wearing a dress that my mom wore when she was a little girl, and Emma is wearing a dress that I wore when I was 4 (It's a little big on her of course).

Abby finally let Emma dress up in her princess dresses. Emma thought it was great!

San Diego

More San Diego Zoo
Our San Diego trip consisted of the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and the San Diego Temple. We had a very fun filled 3 days. Here are some of the pictures we took of the animals at the zoo, Sea World pictures, and temple pictures.

We found these cool statues and had a heck of a time getting all the kids on and getting them to stay on as well. Just after we took this last photo, Garrett fell off and bumped his head. But they
sure do look cute sitting up there. Oldest to youngest Abbygale, Samantha, Garrett, Emmaline.

This animal can stand on a silver dollar with all four hooves. Very good climbers, too! The elephant on the other hand could stand on a silver dollar and not even know it. :) hehe.

Emma's having a great time.

Giraffe, rhinosaurus, Llama

We got over to the gorilla area pretty late in the day, but we were able to stop and get our picture with a very big gorilla :)

One of the zookeepers was out walking a white wolf.

October Break 2009

Disneyland 2009!

We had a great time visiting Disneyland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and Universal Studios. (More pics to follow). These pictures are of our last day at Disneyland. My parents and brother and his family all went home that day, and since we drove out we decided to use up our last day pass here. We had a good time just walking around and seeing many places we didn't have time for earlier in the week. Abby loved the castle and walking through it. She was so excited for that.

As you can tell she is very happy!

Emma had a great time, too!

Morgan took Abby on Autopia. She thought that was really fun!

We also went to the San Diego Zoo. We had a great time!
Hana's mom and stepdad and brother's family came as well. We all had a great time enjoying the sites and the weather.
We went on a double decker bus tour when we first got their. That was a great idea because we got to see more of the park and do less walking. The tour guide also told us more about the park and the animals that we would have heard otherwise. Here are some of the animals we saw while there.

Thankfully they were all out and about this day. Many of them were very active, while others were very sleepy.

Today

So I was released as a nursery teacher today and called as a 2nd counselor in the Primary presidency. I can't believe it. I loved being in nursery, and really enjoyed the kids and the people I worked with. I will miss it. But I guess I'm ready for a new challenge, or at least the Lord is ready for me to have a new challenge. I haven't served in a presidency at all since I've been married. This will definately be different. I will be in charge of the 8-11 year olds so that puts me in charge of the scouts stuff and activity days girls. I will have to learn all new things. I've never really been around any kind of scout stuff since my brothers were in scouts. Even then I wasn't really involved in it. So off I go, into my new challenge. It will be fun because I'm working with 3 really great ladies.

Also, here is how Abby fell asleep tonight. I'm so glad I have a little girl who loves books so much! :) Sorry the picture is blury, but she is asleep while holding her book. So cute!

Emma's 1 year old

Emma's 1!!!!

Who knew time could fly so fast. It seems like yesterday when she was born. Last year on Labor Day I was in the hospital with my 1 day old baby girl. This year we went swimming at in-laws house and ate great food!

Here's a quick picture recap on what happened on Emma's b-day, Aug, 31, 2009.

Aug 28 7:00 pm

Gramma K arrives and surprises us all! She decided that morning to fly in to visit her grand babies and their parents :) hehe. She spent the whole weekend with us. We had a great time.

After she arrived, we went out to eat at a restaurant with Morgan's parents and sister, Morgan and I, and Abby and Emma. We had a great time visiting.

On Saturday, we spent the morning cleaning house (getting ready for the party) and the afternoon was spent shopping w/ my mom and the girls. We had a great time. Thanks mom for everything! We also went out to eat to celebrate Emma's b-day while my mom was in town. We went to Rosa's (yummm). I also had time to bake the cake and cup cakes. (I can't believe I didn't get a good close up picture of the cupcakes and cake. Arrrrrrgh. So frustrating.

Sunday was spent getting ready for church, going to church, last minute clean-up and saying farewell to my mom. Emma also got to open some gifts from Gramma K. She got a dress (see pics below), baby doll, a cute metal purse, and sunglasses. Of course she wouldn't keep the sunglasses on for a cute picture. :(

Around 5:30 everyone started showing up for the party. Guests included Grandma & Grandpa McCain, Aunt Melanie, Uncle Mark and Aunt Carla & kids, Uncle Matt and Aunt Karen & kids, Jaime, and of course mommy & daddy and Abby.

We ate cake, opened presents, and played with all the toys. We all had a great time!

Emma had fun eating her cake.
So messy!

She didn't understand the concept of opening gifts. She had to be persuaded.
Her pink horse is one of the many fun gifts she received.
Big sister wanted to help every step of the way. All the cousins chipped in, too.
Pretty eventful for a 1 yr old!

Updates

We're back to school, daycare and preschool! What a busy life we lead. Morgan has taken on an attorney position at a forclosure company so he is suddenly very busy. He went to court today and has another telephone hearing tomorrow, crazy busy, but what a blessing. We have been so blessed this summer, I keep trying to count them, but soon loose count. Here are some pictures of our past few weeks.
Gramma K sent dresses and outfits that she made for the girls. Aren't they so cute!

Emma just snoozin

Abby discovered the Uno cards and created this masterpiece on our coffee table one morning. What a creative and patient girl. Check out the video of Emma "helping" Abby with the cards.

Emma enjoyed playing at the pool in these really neat water spouts. She had a great time walking through them, once she became brave enough. This is at our Ward party at Carson pool.

Abby had a great time swimming the last week before the pools closed. We tried to go every day. She is really becoming a pretty good swimmer.

Emma's hair is growing longer and she is so cute with her hair in a pony.

Emma discovered that the plastic protectors on the crib rail can come off. She kept us busy with those until mommy decided enough was enough and I duct taped a towel around the bar. No more games!
